How can i get a work permit to live and work in Australia?

I'm 28, have a degree in Social Science, have experience at a supervisory/management level in Retail, but dotn have a sponsor or family, so 10 points short - how can i gain those 10 points?

where are you from? if you're from canada, lots of europe, japan, korea, or a few otheres, you can get a one year work visa simply by applying a paying a small ($140 or so) fee. if you're from the states, then a business visa is really your only option, unless you get the skills to move there.
